Remote Monitoring of Test Points and Critical Bonds

Description
The P2S is a battery-operated, test point monitor, with enough internal battery capability to monitor and deliver scheduled readings from test points for more than 10 years. This rugged, sealed wireless monitor contains a high-gain internal antenna and attaches to a normal 3-inch test point riser pipe. Available in one and two channel versions, the device stays disconnected from the monitored structure until scheduled readings or alarm checks, at which time a brief connection to the structure is made (less than a second) and more than 200 readings are taken. The benefits of this technique are important - because it is disconnected 99.9% of the time, the device in no way affects the CP voltage applied to the pipeline, and the transient/surge withstand capability of the P2S is maximized.

With the P2S, travel to test points to perform periodic potential reads is virtually eliminated. Pipeline integrity is improved because you can now monitor where it matters - at the test points themselves. The P2S can also deliver status of bonds to provide travel-free assurance that adjacent structures are not interfering with one another.
