Allied Corrosion Industries: Cathodic ProtectionClose Interval Survey:

"Locating"

Locating is Essential

Locating the underground pipelines may be difficult at times, especially in congested areas. In order for Allied Corrosion Industries to be accurate, we have trained professionals using Radiodetection Pipeline Current Mappers. In some instances, the method of carrying the transmitter over the pipe may not be sufficient. When this occurs, the locator is directly connected to the pipe using a frequency of 512khz. In order to achieve the proper length of 100 foot intervals per flag, we use communication with pipeline stationing and tight chaining. Tight chaining is an accurate way to keep account of the 100 foot interval since field personal are tied at 100' spacing this will insure accurate spacing.
